…..Stay humble, stay hungry, stay driven, stay focused. Be proud but never satisfied”. – J Singh (This was one of the key lessons I took from my experience)
I went to Kenya in July 2013
“An experience which I will cherish for the rest of my life. My short time out in Kenya gave me an incredible grounding and the opportunity to put things into perspective. There is no other experience of which comes close to the one going to Kenya, being around such amazing people and children are memories which I’ll cherish. I firmly believe this, the experience that I’ve had was genuinely life changing, and the has aided me in all aspects of my life.”
Ever-since my time after Kenya, it’s been a busy roller coaster ride. I shortly joined Wiltshire Constabulary, as a Special Constable where I volunteer a minimum of 16 hours a month to assist with policing duties in the local community.
Alongside this, I’m currently at Coventry University studying a four-year course of Disaster Management & Emergency Planning. Within our studies, we have the option to do a placement year at an organisation so I’m currently at Nationwide Building Society on an Industrial Placement, working within Operational Resilience. This all supports my end career goal of working within the Financial Services and Banking industry.
