Here at YTA we are very different to your usual Travel Company, and we don’t think we shout about this quite enough… Although our friends and family might be sick of hearing just how passionate we are about what we do, we need to start letting everyone know, the YTA Way…

YTA is an independent Swindon based company, who pride ourselves on our community engagement and sustainable travel ethos.  We specialise in trips to Kenya, India and Vietnam, and each trip offers something very different to those who take part.

Whilst our core aim is and always will be about helping local projects supporting young people in each country, the way we offer our help differs from country to country. In a nutshell the projects we work with in Kenya 100% benefit from groups of people volunteering across a few weeks and we have seen the impact we are making. The projects in India and Vietnam benefit more from financial support, and workshop based activities and not so much from short term volunteering. Therefore, the support we provide to local communities is based around what is best for them. Not what is best for us!

We offer Pre-Departure advice for all our trips, these are usually held 6 weeks before you travel, and it allows for any last-minute questions you may have and allows us to go through your itinerary and provide you with a trip pack which includes all your essential travel information. Visas can be a tricky part of any trip, but at YTA we are here to help you get it done, we can point you in the right direction for the best advise as well as making sure your Visa is fully complete, and you have all the parts you need to travel. As well as providing letters to support your applications.

We are fully aware the costs of big trips like this are always an obstacle and can often be a worry. Not many people have £1700 to hand! Therefore, we provide full fundraising support in the form of essential fundraising advice, posters, letter templates, sponsorship forms and T-Shirts. These are especially good for the Kenya trips where most of your trip is volunteer based. YTA has flexible payment plans, we make sure you are not having to pay for your trip all in one chunk, unless you are off on a last-minute adventure.  We put together a series of 4 or 5 smaller payments for you to pay across the months leading up to your trip. These are outlined right from the point of booking, so you know exactly what you need to pay and what is included from the very start.

YTA work in partnership with Younite Foundation, a charity that enables life changing opportunities for young people. Whilst you are busy saving and fundraising for your adventure, Younite raises money directly for the projects we support abroad as well as local projects in our home town, Swindon. By being in partnership with the charity we ensure we are making a lasting impact! In 2017 we raised over £40,000 for some incredible community based projects. To read more about the impact we made in 2017 please click on this link
