In 2018 & 2019 we are running several 10 Day Charity Challenge trips to India.
In addition to our costs for this trip we are offering the opportunity for you and your group to raise money for a charity of your choice.
Our trip begins in Rishikesh in the north of India where your team will take a day to acclimatise, here you will do a 3-hour trek to Neergarh Water Fall and get some training in place before the real challenge begins!
Your Charity Challenge starts in a village called Sari a 7-hour drive from Rishikesh, here you will begin a three-day trek through the Himalayan Foothills to Chandrashilla reaching heights of 3000m and walking over 25k across 3 days. You will pass through the dense forest and beautiful alpine meadows dotted with flowers. The trek is mostly a gradual ascent through the dwarf rhododendron bushes. You can watch most of the prominent peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas, when you reach Chandrashilla Top you will be at 3000M above Sea Level.
Nanda Devi (7817Mtrs-the second highest peak of Indian Himalayas), Kedarnath, Trishul, Bandarpoonch are all prominent peaks visible from here.
Once you have completed this challenge you will head back to the stunning town of Rishikesh where you will have some free time to explore.
To end this most amazing of charity challenges, we have some free time to explore the unique Taj Mahal – one of the world’s greatest monuments ever built, and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World! In addition to this you can visit a community project we work with in Delhi on your final day with us. A great opportunity to meet people and learn about their culture.
